NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ THIS EVENING TO 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.

* WHEN...From 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ this evening to 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Precipitation will start as snow this evening into early Saturday morning. The snow will then transition to a wintry mix of sleet, snow, and freezing rain late tonight, becoming all rain by daybreak Saturday.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM CST /6 PM EST/ THIS AFTERNOON TO 6 AM CST /7 AM EST/ SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Snow will begin late this afternoon and continue into this evening. Snowfall is expected to be moderate to heavy at onset, with rates of one half to briefly one inch per hour in the evening. The snow will change over to sleet and freezing rain by by late evening before becoming all rain overnight. Total wet snow and sleet accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of up to two tenths of an inch possible.

* WHERE...Kankakee, Will and Iroquois Counties in Illinois and Lake, Porter, Newton, Jasper and Benton Counties in northwest Indiana.

* WHEN...From 5 PM CST /6 PM EST/ Friday to 6 AM CST /7 AM EST/ Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact portions of the evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A lull in precipitation is expected Saturday morning before a strong cold front brings rapidly falling temperatures, scattered snow showers, and strong westerly winds gusts of 45 mph Saturday afternoon.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 AM EST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central and west central Indiana.

* WHEN...From 7 PM Friday to 7 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Precipitation is expected to begin as snow this evening. During the early overnight hours there will be a brief period of freezing rain and sleet with all rain by late tonight and tomorrow.

Flood Warning

Areas Affected: Fountain; Parke; Tippecanoe; Vermillion; Warren

NWS Indianapolis (Central Indiana)

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following waterways in Indiana... East Fork White River...Wabash River...White River... .As of Thursday evening, minor to moderate flooding continues on the Wabash, White, and East Fork White Rivers in central and southern Indiana. Crests will be/are comparable to those that occurred in February and June of 2019. The Wabash River is cresting between Terre Haute and Riverton. The White River crest is near Edwardsport. The crest along the East Fork White River is near Williams. Flooding along the lower portions of the White and Wabash River is likely to continue until at least the end of the month. Approximately an inch of rain is expected between Friday night and Saturday with some wintry mix Friday night will prolong flooding in areas already flooding and may lead to isolated renewed flooding along smaller streams. Precautionary/Preparedness Actions... Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. * Forecast...It will continue rising to near 14.6 feet by Sunday afternoon then begin falling.

* At 15.0 feet...Flood waters approaching Warren CR 350 N in the Black Rock Preserve Area. Williamsport Road in Fountain County may begin to flood. &&
