Sullivan, Knox, Crawford and Lawrence Counties.
.Rainfall of 1 to 2 inches will result in minor flooding along area
rivers starting today and continue through next week and beyond
depending on the location. Flooding will last the longest over
southwestern parts of the Wabash and White rivers.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Lafayette.
* Until Thursday evening.
* At 9:30 AM EST Sunday the stage was 12.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 9:30 AM EST Sunday was 12.8 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.5 feet
early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet, Lowland flooding is in progress. High
water affects river cabins near North 9th Street. Low county
roads are nearly impassable. Tapawingo Park in West Lafayette
begins to flood.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.5
feet on 05/25/1995.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this
evening to a crest of 18.1 feet Tuesday morning. It will then fall
below flood stage Thursday evening.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Five Crossings, a local county river park
at old U.S. Highway 136 bridge site, begins to flood.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.1
feet on 04/18/1998.

* At 3:45 PM EST Sunday the stage was 9.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this evening to a crest of 10.1 feet just after midnight tonight.
It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon.
* Impact...At 10.0 feet, Flooding of lowland areas in progress in
portions of Tippecanoe County.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.0
feet on 12/24/1996.
