southern Indiana as a result of heavy rain over the weekend combined
with snow melt from last week. Flooding along smaller creeks and
streams have ended with larger creeks and streams at or near crest.
This flooding will continue into next week for the lower portions of
the White and Wabash rivers. No precipitation is expected through
the rest of the week.

* At 10:30 AM EST Monday the stage was 15.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 10:30 AM EST Monday was 15.2 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.3 feet
this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Wednesday
evening.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet, Flood waters approaching Warren CR 350 N in
the Black Rock Preserve Area. Williamsport Road in Fountain
County may begin to flood.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.3
feet on 12/07/1923.

* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 10:45 AM EST Monday was 17.7 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 19.0 feet early Wednesday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Thursday afternoon
to 10.6 feet and begin rising again Tuesday, March 09. It will
rise to 11.9 feet Wednesday, March 10. It will then fall again and
remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Five Crossings, a local county river park
at old U.S. Highway 136 bridge site, begins to flood.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 19.0
feet on 06/08/2008.
