.Flooding continues along rivers across central and southern Indiana
as a result of heavy rain over the weekend combined
with snow melt from last week. Flooding along smaller creeks and
streams has ended. This flooding will continue into next week for
the lower portions of the White and Wabash rivers. No precipitation
is expected through the rest of the week. Plentiful sunshine and
seasonable temperatures will aid in drying of soils.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Lafayette.
* Until Friday evening.
* At 11:30 AM EST Tuesday the stage was 14.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 11:30 AM EST Tuesday was 15.4 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Friday
morning and continue falling to 9.6 feet Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet, Flood waters approaching Warren CR 350 N in
the Black Rock Preserve Area. Williamsport Road in Fountain
County may begin to flood.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.8
feet on 12/24/1923.

* At 11:45 AM EST Tuesday the stage was 18.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 11:45 AM EST Tuesday was 18.9 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.1 feet
just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage
Friday evening.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, A few county roads begin to flood. Higher
bottomlands begin to flood. The first cottage upstream from U.S.
136 bridge may become isolated by high water.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 19.1
feet on 01/16/2013.

* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 9:45 PM EST Monday was 18.8 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early
Sunday morning and continue falling to 8.8 feet Thursday, March 11.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Montezuma agricultural levee is
overtopped. Fourteen hundred acres of low bottomlands flood.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.7
feet on 03/22/1943.
