Purdue football draws Tennessee in Music City Bowl

NASHVILLE (WLFI) — Purdue football will return to the Music City Bowl in Nashville's Nissan Stadium for a matchup with Tennessee on December 30. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET

CBS Sports insider Jerry Palm and the Action Network's Brett McMurphy first reported this information.

The Boilermakers (8-4) are playing in their third bowl game in the past 5 seasons.

Head coach Jeff Brohm is (1-1) in bowl games with Purdue. 

Last time Purdue played in the Music City Bowl, Auburn cruised to a 63-14 win. The Tigers scored 56 points in the first half, leading 56-7 at the halfway mark. 

Purdue is (1-0) against Tennessee in program history, following a 27-22 win in 1979's Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl.
