Tippecanoe reports 3 new COVID-19 deaths, 53 new cases

INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Wednesday, Sept 8, 2,952 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 3,156,416 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. 3,135,727 including the single-dose vaccine, are fully vaccinated. locally, Tippecanoe County reports 97,877 have been fully vaccinated.

According to ISDH, 889,362 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with coronavirus. A total of 14,258 people have died from the virus, an increase of 86. Seven new deaths were reported in the WLFI viewing area:

  • Tippecanoe - 3 (total 241)
  • Fulton - 1 (total 49)
  • Howard - 2 (total 253)
  • Montgomery - 2 (total 99)

In the WLFI viewing area, additional cases were reported today in Benton (2), Carroll (6), Cass (24), Clinton (9), Fountain (7), Fulton (5), Howard (42), Jasper (14), Miami (13), Montgomery (17), Newton (4), Pulaski (3), Tippecanoe (53), Warren (1), and White (6). Further data can be found here.
