Highs today will top out in the mid to lower 40’s as clouds increase this afternoon. A storm system will impact the area after midnight tonight and continuing through Wednesday. Rain chances will increase this evening, eventually mixing with or changing to snow overnight and into the tomorrow morning’s commute. Precipitation will develop west, eventually spreading northeastward with a few periods of snow showers between midnight and 9 AM tomorrow. This could produce a light coating on area roadways, so plan on extra time out the door for Tuesday. Widely scattered rain showers looks to return tomorrow evening will increasing chances for rainfall Wednesday as this system spreads eastward.
