burrows. thanks for joining us. 3 lafayette schools say lunch prices will go up next year for students that aren't receiving lunch assistance. they say it's because an exemption they once had from federal guidelines has expired. those guidelines determine how much a meal's "sticker price" must be in relation to how much the federal government spends on it.elementary school prices will cost 2 dollars and 10 cents while sunnyside, tecumseh and jeff high schools will cost 2 dollars and 30 cents.eric rody says the increase is standard in schools a part fo the national school lunch program. 3<every three to four years every school corporation is required to do some type of across the board price increase. we have applied for waivers over the past 3 to 4 years in all categories and we have pretty much run the limit to what waivers we can get. > adults lunches went up by 25 cents. breakfast in kindergarten to eighth grade in lsc schools
