thanks for joining us. 3 a disturbing video of animal cruelty has people in white county demanding more out of the justice system.the man responsible didn't get any jail time for his actions.many living in the area don't understand why.we do want to warn you, this footage is graphic. 3<nats kayla: while a neighbor secretly records? roger wilson jr. throws the dog to the ground, kicks the pet, and then slams the animal down again.brandy: "why would anyone want to watch anything like that? kesler: "makes me want to cry," kayla: the video is being shared on social media, not because people enjoy watching it. but because they want to bring awareness to the fact wilson got one year probation for his actions. though he isn't allowed to have dogs during that time, some people think he should have gotten a harsher sentence.kesler: "i hope he never has a dog or an animal again," kayla standup: "neighbors were actually the ones who brought this story to our attention. they were either not at home today or afraid that wilson would retaliate against them if they went on camera with us but they did say they are very upset he is not in jail," kesler: "it's cold hearted. it's like a baby. how can people do that? i just don't understand." brandy: "it's like a child to me, my dog is like my children, so, i wouldn't abuse my dog or my children so it's the same thing to me." kayla: wilson's animal cruelty conviction allowed a maximum of one year in jail. white county prosecutors asked for some jail time but the judge ended ordering probation. loretta kesler wonders if that is enough.kesler: "i just hope it never happens again," > 3 so, do we know if his dogs have been taken away from him? i called the white county probation department to find out and they said the sentencing order is so new no one has been to his house to check yet.he was sentenced on wednesday, so he's had about five days to re-home his dogs. the probation department told me they will be doing a random visit to make sure he is following this term of probation.neighbors say they're on high alert, ready to call police if they see anything. 3
