David Siple is our Meteorologist for News 18 This Morning as well as News 18 at Noon. David joined the WLFI team in July of 2021.
Previously, he was the Weekend Meteorologist/MMJ at WLFI's sister station, WTHI in Terre Haute Indiana for almost 2 years. Before WTHI, David lived in Texas for 2 years as the Morning then Chief Meteorologist for KTEN-TV in Denison, Texas.
He was awarded the American Meteorological Society's Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal in 2021 and he says this is one of his proudest accomplishments.
David graduated from Ball State University in 2017 with a Meteorology degree. He attended Purdue University before transferring to Ball State to complete his degree.
He interned at WLFI in 2015 where he was able to work with Chad Evans. His goal was to eventually work at WLFI sometime in the future and he is very happy to be here.
David likes to golf, be outside, attend any Purdue athletic event, and spend time with his wife Teri, daughter Eleanor, son Calvin, and his pup Sky in his free time.
