My name is Peter Hulett, most call me Pete, and I'm from a small town outside Grand Rapids, Michigan. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2020 with a degree in journalism. I moved to the area this November and have been loving getting to know the community.

I have interned at WZZM-13 in Grand Rapids as a reporter and sports reporter. I was a reporter and videographer at Michigan State's independent student paper, The State news.
At home, I love gaming, playing my guitar, my car, and a nice movie.
I'm a massive sports fan, and when I'm not cheering on my Spartans, I'm learning to wear black and gold and Boiler Up.

21 year old Amara Diomande was sent to Indianapolis for a gunshot wound on April 17th after he was shot at a party in Cumberland Park. Police are still investigating the situation.
Open Hearts Clothing Closet is already starting their first back to school drive. The home-based donation center is asking for school supplies for preschool through high school.
CityBus announced on April 15h it would extend it's 23 connector route to serve Tippecanoe County Community Corrections on N. 9th Street.
The "Stop Asian Hate" rally was held on April 10. The City of West Lafayette, the West Lafayette Chinese Community, YWCA, Purdue Student Government, and Greater Lafayette Immigrant Allies teamed up to make it happen.
JL Records in West Lafayette had an altercation with a customer who refused to wear a mask in the store. The customer came from Lafayette where there is no mask mandate, whereas West Lafayette does. Businesses says that can be confusing for some customers.

The Lakeshore Drive-In Theater hosted an Easter service from the Monticello United Methodist Church Sunday.

Purdue students at the Joshua House have built what they call the "Couch Cart": a motorized love-seat. Over the last month, their creation has caught the attention of students across campus.
Volunteers and Family are searching for 65 year old Percy Lee Driver, who has been missing since December 2020. On March 27, the banks of the Wabash river were searched.
