INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WLFI) — The West Lafayette football program is the 2018 Class 3A state football champion. RDP topped Evansville Memorial 47-42 Saturday afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium.
After the Red Devils jumped out to a 14-0 lead, Memorial responded and eventually took the lead late in the fourth quarter on a Matthew Clark 45 yard field goal.

Sage Hood scored on the ensuing possession from inside the five yard line to regain the lead with 52 seconds left in the game.
Kyle Adams threw for 466 yards for West Lafayette, who won their first state title since 2009.
