CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. — A West Lafayette man, arrested in Carroll County, is facing multiple felony charges including attempted murder. According to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, around 12:08 a.m. Monday morning, officials responded to a report of someone attempting to force their way into a home new West Tippecanoe Ranch Road. The report stated 31-year-old Kyle Strong of West Lafayette was attempting to force his way into the home to get to two people inside. Sheriff’s Deputies were provided information that Strong was in the possession of a firearm and a hammer. He also allegedly was seen with bricks in hand,
Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on the scene first, moved in, and were able to quickly take Strong into custody. Strong was transported to the Carroll County Jail.
Strong remains in the Carroll County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond. Prosecuting Attorney has charged him as follows:
- Two Counts of Attempted Murder, as Level 1 felonies;
- Two Counts of Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon, as Level 5 felonies;
- One Count of Criminal Confinement, a Level 3 felony;
- One Count of Operating a Vehicle as a Habitual Traffic Violator, a Level 6 felony.
