WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — West Lafayette standout quarterback Kyle Adams committed to James Madison University on Tuesday.
Adams made the announcement on Twitter.
As a junior, Adams led the state with 3,945 passing yards to go with 47 touchdowns — both school records.
He capped off his junior campaign helping the Red Devils beat Evansville Memorial 47-42 to capture a Class 3A state title and finish an undefeated 15-0. In that shootout, Adams set a 3A state finals record with 466 passing yards as well as four touchdowns.
Adams chose James Madison over Indiana State, Bryant, Furman, Western Illinois and Wofford among others.
The Dukes, which compete in the FCS, have appeared in five straight postseasons. They won the national championship in 2016 and appeared in the title game in 20-17.
Adams and the Red Devils open the 2019 season at Lafayette Jeff on August 23rd.
