WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) -- A West Lafayette Domino's Pizza franchise is relocating with frontline workers in mind. The chain restaurant recently moved from Win Hentschel Blvd. to Paramount Dr. on Sagamore Pkwy.
Employees are celebrating their new opening by donating pizzas to public servants. On Christmas Eve, they delivered free pizzas to West Lafayette Police. They also delivered to health care workers at the West Lafayette Franciscan Urgent Care.
General manager, Tyson Jonhson said they wanted to uplift spirits this holiday season.
"We really want to be more than just a restaurant," said Johnson. "We're a family here. We wanted to give back to the community especially during these times we felt that during Covid, a lot of people aren't feeling the holiday spirit and so, giving back to the community is just a simple way for us to feel that."
He said this is only the beginning.
"We are going to shape the way the community sees us and we hope that other restaurants and other businesses follow suit," said Johnson. "I think it's very important that all the first responders and anybody who keeps us healthy and safe on a daily basis need to be taken care of a treated with the utmost respect."
On Monday, they will be delivering pizzas to Wabash Township firefighters.
