GREATER LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI)— It's time to leave work behind you and get out and enjoy all the Greater Lafayette area has to offer. This weekend has a lot in store for people wanting to stay indoors, or get out and about.

52nd Annual Feast of the Hunters' Moon

The 52nd Annual Feast of the Hunters' Moon Festival is set to begin this weekend.

The event is a recreation of an annual autumn gathering of the French and Native Americans.

The gathering will take place at Fort Ouiatenon Historic park in West Lafayette.

Participants will have the chance to reenact what it was like to live in the early 1700s.

"We have people who literally every year come for the food. And the one thing I find really unique about the Feast, is that since it's been going on for 52 years, you can ask anyone who lives in this county and they all have a Feast story," said Craig Hadley, Tippecanoe County Historical Association Executive Director.

Hadley emphasized that people come from all over the country just to attend.

"I was talking to a lady yesterday who is flying from Pennsylvania just to come the Feast. So, we get people from all over the United States and Canada just for this festival."

Tickets cost $13 for adults and $7 for children.

City Bus will provide transportation from the Purdue Football stadium.

Roller Derby

And if historical reenactment isn't your thing, maybe roller skates and friendly competition is?

The Lafayette Roller Derby team has their first competition Saturday against the Dire Skates from Richmond.

The match up is Saturday at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds.

Tickets are $12 a person. Kids get in free.

Doors open at 6 p.m.

Pup Toberfest at Thieme and Wagner

And maybe the cutest event going on this weekend.

Do you like beer? What about dogs?

If you said yes then Pup Toberfest is just for you.

Head on out to Thieme and Wagner brewery for food, live music, people beer and dog beer.

That's right.

A dog friendly-version of Oktoberfest.

Pup Toberfest kicks off Friday from 6 p.m. to midnight and continues on Saturday from noon to midnight.

The event benefits Almost Home Humane Society and Natalie's Second Chance Shelter.

All ages are welcome.

Blessing of the Dogs

Here's a really fun and unique event for all of you dog owners.

St. Francis is known as the patron saint of animals.

To celebrate Saint Francis of Assisi Day, Father Duquaine from Saint Boniface will be blessing dogs at Shamrock Dog Park on Sunday.

All Shamrock Dog Park members and non-members are welcome to join.

The group blessing starts at 1 p.m. at the park.

Father Duquaine can also meet with your pup one-on-one if needed after the group blessing.

12th Annual Ultimate Pink Party

And this one's for the ladies! The 12th annual Ultimate Pink Party is Friday night.

It's a way for women to gather and enjoy a fun night out all while raising money for the YWCA women's cancer program.

The evening includes dinner and dessert, spa services, a comedy show and more.

Tickets cost $70.

The Ultimate Pink Party goes from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Purdue Memorial Union.
