Happy Friday, Lafayette! We’re off to a mostly clear and comfy start this morning with a few isolated rain showers and temps are in the upper 50s and low 60s to start the day. Temperatures will climb into the mid-70s by lunchtime, and will top off at 84 for your daytime high under partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows in the upper 60s.
This summer pattern will continue through the weekend… which means plenty of heat and occasional storm chances. Much of Saturday is dry, warm and a little more humid. Highs climb into the upper 70s to low 80s. The chance for showers and storms will increase tomorrow as overnight lows cool off into the lower 60s. There’s a Slight Risk for a few strong to severe storms with gusty winds.
Mother’s Day plans could be interrupted by additional storms on Sunday. Outside of rain chances, we have plenty of heat. Highs reach back into the 80s.
