WLPD searching for man wanted in alleged armed robbery

According to police, someone entered the Circle K gas station on Sagamore Parkway around 4 a.m. and pulled a gun on the clerk.

As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, an arrest had not been made. 

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — West Lafayette Police are searching for a man wanted in an alleged armed robbery Tuesday morning.

According to police, someone entered the Circle K gas station on Yeager Road and Sagamore Parkway around 3:45 a.m. and pulled a gun on the clerk. The man took an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police were called, and the man got into a car. He then led police on a pursuit that ended on Lindberg Road near University Place Apartments.

Police say he got out of the car and ran west towards U.S. 231.

The man was wearing a black jacket and a white and black bandana, according to police.

No shots were fired and no one was injured. Officers checked the area with K9's, but were unable to find him. 

Police are still looking for the man.
