WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The West Lafayette Community School Corporation announced Thursday that it will be moving the start date of the 20-21 school year. According to an email sent to parents, the first day for the 2020-2021 school year will be moved to August 19th. The first day will be an eLearning day for all students. On August 20th all students who will attend school on-site will report to school.

The school also announced it will be extending the registration deadline through Wednesday, July 29 at 11:59 PM. Parents who have already completed online registration can make changes to their selection of onsite or online instruction until July 29 at 11:59 PM.
WLCSC also stated students who select the online learning option will be eligible to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Students will need to follow all required safety protocols.
West Lafayette Community School Corporation joins with Tippecanoe School Corporation who also announce they will be pushing back the start of the school year.
