WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The Tippecanoe County Health Department notified the West Lafayette Community School Corporation of its first positive COVID-19 test by a staff member. According to a releases statement from Superintendent Dr. Rocky Killion, the administration determined that the staff member was not in close contact with students and other staff members.
The staff member and family are in quarantine.
"WLCSC will continue employing extensive measures to keep students, staff and families as safe as possible during this time. As a reminder, families should not send their students to school if they have a pending test results, a confirmed COVID-19 case in their home, or if the student is not feeling well," stated Killion.
