LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — This year's United Way roof top party included a "Beat the Bucket" game where you could soak a public official.
Tippecanoe County Prosecutor Patrick Harrington and Commissioners Tracy Brown and Tom Murtaugh were pretty good sports about it.
Murtaugh said typically, the event raises about $5,000 which will go toward the 5.3 million dollar goal community wide.
"We're right in the middle of it and we hope that people will consider a gift to their community by giving to the United Way," said Murtaugh.
The event had music, free food and a silent auction.
"There's some really fun, unique items in the silent auction and our department heads put those together so, there's kind of a friendly competition on who can out do who and it's a lot of fun," said Murtaugh.
If you missed the event, you can still donate online.
