LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — This year's fundraising campaign for the United Way of Greater Lafayette came to a close Thursday. The group raised $5,252,910 to fund the next year of services.
The United Way organizes and funds several local organizations for education, public health, and financial stability.
The total was just shy of its $5.6 million goal announced in August. Last year, the group made their goal of $5.3 million, which was the highest they'd ever set at that time.
