TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Two people are dead after a Sunday evening shooting that happened at the Family Express on Old State Road 25.
The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call of shots fired at the store around 7:20 p.m. When TCSO got on scene, one person was dead inside the station and one armed suspect was outside by the gas pumps.
Deputies then attempted to catch the suspect when shots were fired and the suspect is now dead.
The investigation is now being conducted by the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post at the request of Tippecanoe County Sheriff Bob Goldsmith.
There is no danger to the public. This is an ongoing investigation and no further information will be released at this time.

It is confirmed that the main suspect has been shot. It is unclear at this point if he was shot by someone else or if he shot himself.
There is no longer any threat to the public.
Sheriff Bob Goldsmith said they are still investigating and don't have any further details at this time.
