CASS COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — Three people are in jail after a police chase with Logansport police.
Police say officers tried to stop a 2013 Chrysler 200 after it failed to yield Saturday and led the officer on a vehicle chase.
It started near 18th and Spear streets in Logansport and continued through Carroll County. At one point during the pursuit, a male passenger identified as 29-year-old Jesse R. Elliot jumped out of the car. He was later taken into custody.
The pursuit ended when the vehicle lost control and wrecked in a field near Deer Creek. Police arrested the driver, 33-year-old Jaime Travis, and the other passenger, 34-year-old Kayla Booth. All three had warrants out for their arrest in three different counties.
Jaime Travis faces charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Syringe, Resisting Law Enforcement and a Howard County warrant.
Kayla Booth faces charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Syringe, and a LaPorte County warrant.
Jesse R Elliot faces charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Syringe, Resisting Law Enforcement, possession of paraphernalia and a Cass County warrant.
Police said additional charges are pending.
