TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — The Tippecanoe School Corporation is making the lives of students, teachers and faculty easier.
A newly launched app is a one-stop shop for everything TSC including school closings and delays.
"The app serves as really an extension of our website," said TSC's technology director Devin Arms.
TSC's new website launched in the summer of 2018. The new iPhone and Android app titled TSC 2 Go launched Oct. 1st, 2019.
All notifications will come through the app first and then as usual will be available on TSC's website.
Arms said it's very easy to use.
"All of the content that folks can access on our website is packed in a more friendly format on the app," said Arms.
The app has features like a customizable calendar so you can just see the things from your child's school, not all TSC schools.
It has a list of all faculty, any announcements and even school lunch menus.
"We're just really excited about it," said Arms. "It's another tool in our communication tool box that we feel is very important and has allowed us to be more efficient and effective in communicating.
TSC's first line of communicating will be on the app, but the school district will still use its website and social media to keep you informed.
Arms said apps are a great place for people to see all the information they want in one place.
"In today's society it is a natural fit and a really effective way to meet folks where there at in terms of how they want to receive information," said Arms.
