INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Tuesday, February 9, 1,225 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to ISDH, 641,874 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 11,526 people have died from the virus, an increase of 67. New deaths were reported in the following local counties:
- Cass- 1 (total 93)
- Montgomery - 1 (total 81)
- Tippecanoe - 1 (total 182)
In the WLFI viewing area, new cases were reported in Benton (0), Carroll (6), Cass (18), Clinton (1), Fountain (4), Fulton (6), Howard (10), Jasper (2), Miami (4), Montgomery (16), Newton (0), Pulaski (5), Tippecanoe (75), Warren (1), and White (5).

Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports 262 active cases with 251 being students and 11 being employees. It has reported 4,705 total cases since it started reporting on August 1. 135,426 total tests have been given on campus.
According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 718,934 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. 240,145 have received the second dose and are fully vaccinated.
