INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Wednesday, February 17, 933 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to ISDH, 651,453 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 11,825 people have died from the virus, an increase of 20. New deaths were reported in the following local counties:
- Howard - 1 (total 187)
- Miami - 1 (total 60)
- Tippecanoe - 2 (total 192)
In the WLFI viewing area, additional cases were reported today in Benton (0), Carroll (2), Cass (3), Clinton (3), Fountain (1), Fulton (0), Howard (10), Jasper (0), Miami (7), Montgomery (2), Newton (0), Pulaski (4) Tippecanoe (30), Warren (2), and White (3).

Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports 225 active cases with 216 being students and 9 being employees. It has reported 4,877 total cases since it started reporting on August 1. 142,463 total tests have been given on campus.
According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 834,478 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. 356,204 have received the second dose and are fully vaccinated.
