LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Tippecanoe County is offering daytime trick-or-treating for the community.
From 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and Halloween, participating county offices will be handing out candy.
Participating workers will have an orange pumpkin displayed outside their door.
The event is for children aged 12 and under. Kids must come with a parent and an appetite for candy.
Commissioner Assistant, Paula Bennett, said they wanted to provide more options for kids.
“It's a safe alternative to give children during the day that may not have a nice safe place to go at night,” said Bennett.
