TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — Elections are fast approaching and Tippecanoe County Clerk Christa Coffey said she's never seen this many contested county-wide or in-county races on the November ballot.

Due to the number of races, Coffey is expecting a large turnout and they're looking for more poll volunteers.

"We have more locations and more hours so we will need more help to do the early voting and the election day sites," said Coffey.

Volunteers do have to be affiliated with a political party so a Republican and Democrat can be stationed at each site.

If you'd like to help, you can contact the board of elections office. Voting registration ends October 9 and early voting starts October 10. The General Election is on November 6th.
