INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Sunday that 596 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Indiana.
According to ISDH, 48,008 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 2,500 people have died from the virus, an increase of six. There were no new deaths reported in the WLFI viewing area.
In the WLFI viewing area, new cases were reported in Clinton, Fountain, Fulton, Howard, Jasper, Montgomery, Tippecanoe and White.
Tippecanoe County increased by 21 cases from yesterday’s report. It added 100 new cases in just one week. It had 609 cases on Sunday, June 28th and now has 715 cases as of Sunday, July 5th. Howard County increased by ten and Jasper County by seven.
A total of 521,722 people have been tested. The intensive care unit and ventilator capacity remain steady. As of today, almost 42 percent of ICU beds and 84 percent of ventilators are available.
