TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — The Tippecanoe County Health Department is providing firmer details on what restaurants still open for takeout and delivery can and can't do. It comes as Gov. Eric Holcomb restricts restaurants and bars from providing dining-in options until March amid the coronavirus outbreak.
In a note sent out to restaurant owners Wednesday afternoon, the health department outlined the following:
-Customers may enter the building only to pay for pre-ordered food and then must leave immediately.
-No one is allowed to sit at a table or bar to order or wait on their food.
-Customers may not sit in outdoor patio seating and waiting areas while waiting on food.
-Curb side pick-up and drive-thru options are allowed.
The health department said it would be "enforcing this to the fullest extent." If a business does not comply, the department said it could result in a permit revocation.
