WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - It's time to get "Freezin' for a Reason."
Saturday, hundreds of people will be taking a leap into chilly waters for the 2020 Polar Plunge.
This year's plunge will be at Purdue's Lambert Fieldhouse.
Money raised will go to Special Olympics Indiana. A portion of the money also helps local Special Olympics teams with everything from uniforms and equipment to training costs.
Purdue Polar Plunge Chair Lynne Noble says watching the event is part of the fun.
"It's just a fun event to see." Lynne told News 18. "Nobody jumps into that water without screaming and yelling and laughing and smiling a lot. So it's fun to see the reactions of everyone as they go in and come out."
Registration will be open Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. You can still register before the event by clicking here.
