TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office says a crash that hurt three people was caused by rain.
Just before 5 p.m. Monday, deputies said a driver on U.S. 52 tried to stop for the 231 light at Montmorenci. Deputies said the vehicle then skidded because of the wet road and hit a utility pole.
The driver had to be cut from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital. Two children also in the car were treated for pain.
