FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI) — Three firefighters are recovering after a large fire broke out in Frankfort over the weekend.
Investigators have released more information on the fire.

According to investigators, about 5:25 Sunday morning, fire crews were called to the 900 block of West Barner Street. Arriving on the scene, flames were visible from the porch and windows of what investigators said was an abandoned home.

However, while crews battled the fire, they learned there may have been someone inside. Firefighters searched the home and didn't find anyone. The three firefighters injured suffered burns to the hands and shoulder. We expect more information after Frankfort Fire completes an investigation.
