LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette police took three people into custody over the weekend in connection with two separate prostitution cases.

Early Saturday morning, police arrested 22-year-old Kalicicia Browder and 19-year-old Lydia Williams.

LPD tells us an officer investigating prostitution found an ad for someone offering their services on backpage.com.

The officer posed as a client and set up a meeting at a South Street hotel.

When she arrived, Browder was arrested on a preliminary charge of prostitution and for being wanted on a warrant.

Police say Williams drove Browder to the hotel.

Williams faces a charge of promoting prostitution.

On Sunday, police said an anonymous tip regarding prostitution led them to 27-year-old Darius Brown.

He was pulled over for a traffic violation.

He faces charges of human trafficking, promoting prostitution and furnishing alcohol to a minor.
