INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WLFI) — Three attractions in the WLFI viewing are have made Indiana's top 20 list of Natural Wonders.
The Portland Arch in Covington and the Williamsport Falls are two of the wonders on the list. It's part of Visit Indiana's 20 in 20 lists.
The arch is a sandstone gorge with a creek that follows a nature preserve path.
At 90 feet, Williamsport Falls is the tallest waterfall in the state, and visitors can actually go behind the falls to get an up-close view.
Visit Indiana Director Misty Weisensteiner said it was hard to choose just 20, and said the COVID-19 Pandemic changed how they put the list together.
"We were really looking for the things that really do awe people and are Instagram worthy, said Weisensteiner. "You know, perfect for pictures, and then also provides locations for people to social distance."
The Bison at Kankakee Sands also made the list. The Newton County wonder has a herd of wild bison roaming the area.
"It's so important for Hoosiers to really get out and experience our great assets," added Weisensteiner. "You don't have to go far. You can get wonderful, beautiful experiences right here in the state."
