CASS COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — The Cass County 4-H Association announced the 2020 fair will be held virtually due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in surrounding counties. The fair did not meet the Purdue Extension's guidelines by having approval from the local health department to have an in-person fair. But rather than cancel the fair, the Health Department suggested a virtual fair.
The 4-H association says more information will be sent out to 4-H members and their families to explain what a virtual fair will look like.
According to Purdue Extension's Cass County Educator Krista Pullen, a meeting is scheduled for Tuesday evening with fair organizers and the Cass County Health Department to further discuss this year's fair.
This year's fair was scheduled to run July 20 through the 24.
