LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Tippecanoe County Health Department announced Monday a new COVID-19 testing site in Lafayette. The new site will be located at 3600 S 9th St. in Lafayette. The site will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. According to a press release, people will not be charged, but if you have health insurance you will need to bring that information with you.
The Indiana State Department of Health says you should be tested if:
- You show symptoms of COVID-19
- At high risk due to being over 65, have diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, or another underlying condition
- A member of a minority population that is at greater risk
- A close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 positive patient when the contact lives with a member of an at-risk population of it is imperative that the contact continues to work
