WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A student leadership group held an event Saturday, as its May Impact Project. The Unified Track Clinic took place at Harrison High School.
Different stations were set up to teach and give practice times for several track and field events.
It was organized to help prepare students for the Special Olympics track meet coming up in June.
Trey McCartney is one of 27 student volunteers from Harrison High School.
"It was a really awesome experience, just the way they make us feel just their joy just wanting to be there is just really uplifting and just really awesome," said McCartney.
The group also presented a $500 check to Special Olympics.
