WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Purdue University released a report Wednesday that 99.26 percent of students who have received results of their COVID-19 tests are virus-free. Of the 30,117 test results received as of Tuesday, 223 tested positive for COVID-19.
All Purdue students are required to have a negative COVID-19 test before coming to campus for the start of the fall semester. If a student has tested positive recently they must have documentation that they completed a 10-day isolation.
A dashboard of the current campus status is being developed and soon will be posted publicly on the Protect Purdue website.
First-year students began arriving last Friday and additional students are arriving throughout the week in order to begin classes on Aug. 24.
