LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A 42-point second half helped McCutcheon rally to beat West Lafayette 64-60 on Tuesday at Resler Gymnasium.

West Lafayette led 20-5 after the first quarter. The Red Devils also led 37-22 at the half.

But it was a tale of two halves.

The Mavericks began the third quarter on a 7-0 run capped by a Joe Phinisee dunk. Phinisee paced the Mavs with 23 points.

Braeden Shrewsberry finished with a game-high 33 points, including seven three-pointers.

McCutcheon improves to 8-2 and 4-0 at home this season. West Lafayette falls to 2-7 overall.
