FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI) — An adult male was taken to IU Health in Indianapolis after sustaining an injury at Skydive Indianapolis.
According to the Frankfort Airport manager he was training to video record his jumps.
We are told there was no equipment malfunction during the jump, but that the skydiver did misjudge his landing.
The incident happened around 3 pm today.
First responders took the man from the scene and say he was conscious and alert.
The amublance left as non-emergent, meaning no lights or sirens were on during the trip to the hospital.
He may be suffering from broken bones, but the injuries are not life-threatening.
Also the man hurt was not a customer, he was an experienced staff member on a solo jump.
Skydive Indianapolis says all the equipment during the jump are stowed away.
The Federal Aviation Administration is conducting an investigation.
