WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Santa Claus is trading in his black boots for ice skates this weekend. This Saturday you'll have a chance to meet him at Riverside Skating Center.

The event kicks off in West Lafayette at 9 o'clock in the morning and lasts until 11.

Skating with Santa

There will be donuts, hot cocoa, and chances to take pictures with Saint Nick.

Superintendent of the City of West Lafayette Parks Janet Fawley said, "Maybe not in such a formal atmosphere as you normally would when you go to the store and get to sit down with Santa. You get to sit with him and talk with him while you're skating. So, a little less formal."

Reservations are required and the event costs $13 per person.

To register, call the rink at 765-743-7465, Morton Community Center 765-775-5120, or the West Lafayette Parks & Recreation office 765-775-5110.
