LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WLFI) — Police say a standoff in Logansport has ended peacefully. The whole incident lasted more than seven hours Tuesday.

It started with a robbery at a gas station on Market Street about 4:30 a.m. Police said the robber showed a handgun, and got away with cash, cigarettes, and a soda.

Through surveillance video, police identified Joseph Knight as a suspect. They learned he was at a 12th street home and set up a perimeter. Knight was reportedly hiding in the attic.

Police made contact using a fire truck ladder, and Knight eventually surrendered around noon.

Knight faces four preliminary charges. Police learned he may also have stolen a car from the 2700 block of George Street.
