Highs today ranged from 75-91 over the area, though most of the area was 84-91.

Heat indices reached as high as 99 in our southwestern counties.

Storm that tracked from northeast of Attica to north of Forest late this afternoon produced multiple hail reports:

1.75"  5 Miles Northwest of Romney

1.00"  Southwestern Middle School

0.88"  4 Miles South of Dayton

0.75"  Mulberry

0.50"  Southeast Side of Lafayette

Tonight's storms produced:

M41 mph gust  Kentland Muncipal Airport

0.25" Hail  Wadena (Northern Benton County)

Storms depart tonight, followed by patchy fog & lows 61-68 (64 Greater Lafayette) northwest to southeast.

Tomorrow will feature low clouds & fog in the morning breaking up, followed by sun/clouds & highs 76-90 from northwest to southeast.  Much of the area will run 83-90 (88 Greater Lafayette) with heat indices 87-94 (92 Greater Lafayette).  Winds will tend to be easterly to variable at 5-12 mph.

An isolated shower/storm or two is possible.

Lows of 57-67 (62 Greater Lafayette) are likely tomorrow night with partly to mostly cloudy skies.

Front should pass Thursday morning with a few isolated showers, otherwise it looks like a day of clouds/sun with northeast winds 15-25 mph & highs 73-80 (79 Greater Lafayette) north to south.

80s are likely this weekend with higher humidity & some scattered showers & storms.  Some area possible Saturday & some Sunday.

Highs in Greater Lafayette of 82 on Saturday & 86 Sunday are currently on tap with lows 58 Saturday morning, 65 Sunday morning & 56 Monday morning.

Next week currently looks good!

Highs in the 76-81 range early in the week (78, 81 Greater Lafayette) will give way to 81-86 mid-week (84 Greater Lafayette), then 78-84 to end the week. (82, 82 Greater Lafayette)

50s will dominate the lows (most nights near 55 for Greater Lafayette).
