September 29, 11 PM Weather Forecast Update

Unseasonably warm weather, followed by scattered rainfall then a cool-down...

After lows of 50-60 this morning (north & northeast to southwest), highs today reached 81-89 over the area.

Dew points were low to very low in the 40s to 50s, so the air was very dry.

Winds were light from the east to southeast.

After 52-63 north & northeast to southwest tonight, hight tomorrow will run 81-88 (northeast to southwest) with a light southeast wind.

Skies will be partly cloudy with high & some mid clouds.

With partly cloudy skies skies, lows of 55-64 are likely tomorrow night, followed by skies becoming mostly sunny to sunny Friday.

Highs will run 83-89 with low dew points in the 50s with a south-southeast wind picking up to 10-22 mph.

We will become partly cloudy Friday evening to Friday night with south wind 4-10 mph & lows 57-66.

The humidity will rise to dew points of 65-70 by Saturday midday-afternoon.

A period of some scattered showers & a few storms is expected with peak of 35%.

Winds will run south to south-southwest at 14-25 mph.

30-35% will occur generally 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Sunday will feature breezy conditions with south to south-southwest, then southwest winds 15-26 mph.

With mostly cloudy skies, highs of 75-80 are expected with dew points 65-70.

Isolated showers in the morning will give way to a round of showers & some storms 11 a.m.-4 p.m.  They will tend to taper in coverage after that.

You can see the projected wave of some scattered showers & storms Saturday (35%), then the round of scattered showers & storms Sunday (50%).....(a third wave of some scattered showers Sunday night with the actual surface cold front):

Trends continue to point toward 0.50-1" of rainfall.  There will be a few places that recieve a bit less, however.

Another, but brief, wave of scattered showers is possible Sunday night with the cold front, which will drop lows to 52-59 by Monday morning.

As for Monday, it will cooler & less humid with highs 67-74 with lots of stratocumulus & cumulus clouds & a few isolated showers bubbling up.

Wind will run from the northwest to north at 10-20 mph.

Tuesday looks partly cloudy with cumulus clouds after lows of 47-52 in the morning.  Highs should reach 66-72 with a NNE wind at 10-15 mph.
