The majority of the weekend rain has moved out of the region. We are left with isolated showers this afternoon.
Expect the gloomy weekend to continue through Sunday evening. Rain chances will continue to diminish through the evening and we'll be left with overcast skies. Temperatures won't fall much further through the overnight. You can expect cloudy conditions with lows in the mid 50's.
So how does the work week look like? Notice the clearing through much of the Midwest all the way out to western Nebraska. High pressure will continue to push eastward, bringing these clear conditions over the next several days. This means we'll see plenty of sun back into the forecast during the work week. On top of the sun, we'll see lower humidity continue.
A sweater or light jacket may be needed as you head out to work Monday morning. Temperatures will remain in the mid 50's for the morning commute. Temperatures will climb into the lower 70's for the afternoon. There is a slim (10%) chance for a stray shower across the entire region. These will be very brief and should not bring any much rainfall accumulation. The greatest chance for these pop up showers is between 3 and 5 o'clock.
For the 7 day, below average temperatures will continue through Wednesday. After, mid 80's can be expect, but plenty of sunshine is in store.
