MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) — Jake Burton's Twin Lakes Indians were looking to build upon a 17-14 campaign this year. His roster was full of both talent and experience heading into 2020, and his baseball team featured five seniors in the 2020 class.
Jace Stoops was a standout all over the diamond. He served as the team's starting catcher, and was considered the ace on the mound. The All-Hoosier Conference selection will continue his baseball career at Marian University in Indianapolis in the fall.
Dayton Minthorn played in the outfield and also served as a middle infielder. He was the teams ERA leader on the mound in both his freshman and junior seasons. Minthorn will attend Purdue in the fall.
Carson Shireman was a four year letter-winner. He pitched and played in the outfield during his time at Twin Lakes. He will be going to Purdue as well.
Devan Snowberger was named the 2019 most improved player under Coach Burton. Snowberger is enlisting into the Air Force after he graduates from Twin Lakes.
Finally Colton Thorpe played short stop for the Indians. Thorpe lead the team with 31 RBI in 2019. He will continue his baseball career at Indiana Tech next year.
