LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) -- For the second time in one month, a Lafayette police officer has resigned ahead of a merit board hearing.

Chris Jarrett and Charlie Williams were scheduled to face the board for possible disciplinary actions on Dec. 20. That meeting was canceled.

Then on January 9th, we reported Williams had resigned.

Now, police are confirming that Chris Jarrett has stepped down as well.

Lafayette Police have not made public what allegations led to the hearing.
