CLINTON COUNTY, Ind (WLFI)—The Rossville Cub Scouts held their annual Pinewood Derby Race.
The race took place in the Rossville School's Auxiliary Gym.
Scouts have been preparing for this annual tradition by building their own cars. Each car has its own theme.
Once the cars are built and ready to go, the teams compete in a race.
The cub scouts were excited to show off their creative pieces.
"Kind of nervous. Kind of happy," said cub scout Lief Eller. "Like, nervous as if I really want my car to win."
Many of the scouts there were returning scouts.
"It's fun because I do it every year," said returning cub scout Matthew Verhui. "And it's just fun to see what happens"
The Pinewood Derby is held as an encouragement to the scouts to work as a team and to always support each other.
